The team at Extendicare Beacon Hill Long-Term Care Home seeks to maintain a home-like, warm, and welcoming environment. Maintaining the dignity and respect of our residents during all aspects of their care is fundamental. Our person-centered approach encourages resident and family participation in care planning according to their values and wishes. Beacon Hill offers bright and spacious private and semi-private rooms that are great for couples. Each of the rooms has a large window that opens and is furnished with a bed, night table, closet, chair, and each room has its own washroom. Residents and families are encouraged to decorate the room with their own personal touches. We have a large, comfortable lounge on our main floor in addition to smaller lounges on each floor. The sunroom on the second floor offers a resident library, a lounge area for quiet visits and a kitchen area for families to hold their own gatherings. We have many programs and services including home-cooked meals, an outdoor patio with trees and a garden, recreation activities and outings, Spiritual Care, in-house and visiting pets, Occupational Therapy/Rehabilitation Services, Social Work, Dietitian, and a Hair Salon.

Extendicare Charleswood Long-Term Care Home is a fully accredited facility dedicated to enhancing the lives of its 155 residents. It is located in Charleswood on 4.5 acres of land which affords ample walkways and flower and vegetable gardens. The one‐level open concept design and the abundance of natural light creates a warm, stimulating environment. Meals are “home‐cooked" in‐house and we provide 24-hour nursing care, as well as activities, rehabilitation, and spiritual care. There is a full-time social worker as well as a part time dietician and occupational therapist. The care centre is committed to providing individualized care and services through an interdisciplinary team approach that embraces family involvement. There is plenty of parking and families are encouraged to visit according to their schedules.

Kildonan Long-Term Care Home is a fully accredited 120 bed personal care home. The Centre is situated in a residential setting on Henderson Highway in North East Winnipeg along the bank of the Red River. The home has 3 floors divided into 2 wings on each floor. Dining Rooms are located on each floor for ease of access by all residents. There is also excellent outdoor space with a beautifully landscaped courtyard on the river side and a patio at the front of the property.

Golden Door Geriatric Centre is an accredited personal care home, providing quality care in a supportive environment to seniors who can no longer live independently. We support residents to maintain their independence, dignity and safety. Residents participate in health care decision making, exercise, activities, care of our pets, and tasty home-cooked meals as part of sociable, healthy living.
Golden Door residents live in three neighbourhoods, all on one level. We are situated on extensive grounds, with lush trees, beautiful flower gardens and outdoor patio area. Our congenial atmosphere and compassionate staff support companionship and enjoyment of life.

Golden Links Lodge is an accredited, non-profit home. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and operates under provincial legislation as set out in the Manitoba Personal Care Home Standards Regulations (30/2005). Golden Links Lodge is a two story wheelchair accessible building with 88 bedroom suites. We are located at 2280 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2N 3Z6. Oakview Place Personal Care Home is located in the St. James area of the City of Winnipeg and offers accommodation, care and services to 245 Residents.
The goal of Oakview Place is to provide Resident-centred care through a team approach that fosters the individual’s right to privacy, dignity, safety, growth and independence. Our Resident-centered care includes a variety of disciplines including nursing, occupational, and physiotherapist, dietician, social worker, physicians, recreation staff and other support staff. Oakview Place strives to combat the loneliness, helplessness and boredom so prevalent in long term care today.
Oakview Place has been designed and is operated in such a way as to create a homelike and supportive atmosphere for the Residents, their families, team members and volunteers. Our environment enables Residents to exercise control and choice whenever and wherever possible. Even though our home has 3 floors, each neighbourhood is small enough to foster long last friendships.

Poseidon Long-Term Care Home is a 218‐bed accredited Personal Care Home, with five floors of private and semi‐private rooms. We are located in River Heights close to the Grant Park Mall, the Pan-Am Clinic, and the Pan-Am Pool. Bus transportation routes are nearby.
Our Resident rooms are comfortably furnished with a bed, night table, clothes closet, and easy chair. River East Personal Care Home is an accredited Home which offers accommodation to 120 Elders. It is a one-story structure on 5.4 acres in East Kildonan. All Elder rooms are private with a bathroom. The center of the Home accommodates the Eden Garden Bistro, Cozy Corner Café, Fireplace Lounge and Gathering Room which hosts a wide variety of recreational activities. The secure backyard features gardens, walkways and a large tented patio for gatherings. Home-cooked meals are provided and a “Relaxed Breakfast” allows for a hot breakfast whether you are an early riser or prefer to sleep in. We offer a secure Memory Care neighborhood for 20 Elders who require reduced stimuli and room to wander. Our Home has a few live-in pets. St. Norbert Personal Care Home is a 91 bed facility located on a scenic bend of the Red River, minutes South of the Perimeter Highway. The grounds are enhanced by many mature evergreens and willows. There is a secured park on the west side of the facility that can be used by residents and their family members for visits and recreation. Residents also enjoy many activities planned by our Recreation staff with the help of our volunteers.
All of the resident rooms are on one level. The dining room divides the East Wing from the West Wing.
On the East wing there are 42 private rooms and 4 double rooms. The double rooms have a partial wall dividing the room giving each resident a separate private area.
On the West Wing there are 33 private rooms and 4 double rooms.
Residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms as they wish as long as their safety is maintained.
Qualified, caring, nursing staff care for the residents 24 hours a day. A physician is always available and visits once a week.

The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg is honored to be recognized as Manitoba’s first licensed personal care home having been established in 1906. We are located in South/Central Winnipeg, just off of Corydon Avenue, close to restaurants, boutiques and the vibrant community life of the surrounding residential area.
