Supportive Housing
Supportive Housing is a housing option that provides personal support services and homemaking in permanent community based congregate residential settings. The target population is primarily frail and/or cognitively impaired older adults who can no longer manage in their own home with available resources (family and home care resources), but are not yet ready for Personal Care Home (PCH) placement. Individuals require services for meals, laundry and light housekeeping, included in the service package. on-site support and supervision and assistance with personal support services i.e. bathing and dressing. These individuals would not require acesss to 24 hour professional care but may require episodic professional care (provided through the Regional Health Authority). As the program supports a social model, individuals living within this environment should be able to reside in a congregate setting.

The building provides 24 newly renovated bachelor suites for seniors on a fixed income. Care and services include access to 24-hours supervision, food-services, light housekeeping and laundry services. The program promotes a caring and supportive living environment which encourages individual autonomy and independence. The home-like experience aims to enrich the quality of life of its residents and their families.
Actionmarguerite is the care and service provider for the Windsor Park Place supportive housing program. It provides elderly clients with a range of care and services in either French or English that contribute to their autonomy. Windsor Park Place sets high standards for comfort, independence, safety and peace of mind.
