The Lions Club of Winnipeg – the first Lions Club in Manitoba and the third in all of Canada – received its Charter from the International President of Lions Clubs on Saturday, November 26th, 1921.  The Lions Club of Winnipeg Housing Centres’ Board of Directors is comprised of Lions Club of Winnipeg members.​Today, Lions Housing Centres Inc. continues to own, operate housing and care facilities, to provide accommodations for adult citizens, and to provide support that looks at the whole person, not just their mental health needs but consideration of their physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.
