Dakota Oyate Lodge is a 26-bed long-term care home located in the heart of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, Manitoba. The Lodge provides 24-hour care and support in a welcoming, home-like environment with a strong commitment to dignity, respect, compassion, and Resident-centred care.

At Dakota Oyate Lodge, we recognize that long-term care is about much more than meeting physical and medical needs. Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence, make choices about their daily lives, stay connected with family and community, and participate in activities and traditions that are meaningful to them.

Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with Residents, families, physicians, health-care providers, and community partners to develop individualized care that reflects each Resident's needs, preferences, abilities, and goals. Nursing, health care aide, nutrition, recreation, environmental, and support services work together to provide safe, respectful, and compassionate care.

Dakota Oyate Lodge values the importance of Dakota culture, language, traditions, family, and connection to community. We recognize and respect the knowledge, life experiences, stories, and contributions of the Elders and Residents who call the Lodge home. Cultural and spiritual practices are supported as an important part of Residents' overall well-being and identity.

Our goal is simple: to provide a safe and caring home where every Resident is treated with dignity, where their voice matters, and where they can continue to live with purpose, connection, and a sense of belonging.
