Jocelyn House, is Western Canada's first free-standing hospice, and was established in 1985 by Bill & Miriam Hutton, following the death of their 17 year old daughter, Jocelyn. Our mission is to carry on the dream of Jocelyn Hutton: adding life to final days for the terminally ill and their loved ones, by providing care and comfort in a home-like setting. End of life care for Jocelyn House Hospice residents includes expert clinical and spiritual care, home-cooked meals, companionship and support.
Accommodation types available:
Jocelyn House is a 4 bed hospice with private bedrooms and shared bath and living spaces.
Rent: All of the residents are enrolled in the WRHA's Palliative Care Program and admissions are coordinated through the program. At Jocelyn House there is a per diem fee of $30 per day.
Year built: Jocelyn House was a family home, built in 1964 and has had a number of renovation projects since then.
