Dementia Care Champions Needed

With the upcoming fall election The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is asking concerned individuals to become dementia care champions and speak out to your friends and neighbours, to local candidates and to elected officials about the issues that affect people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Senior Idol - June 22nd 2011 at the Red River Exhibition

Senior Idol is a province-wide talent search of the 50-Plus group, taking place at The Red River Exhibition on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Competitors can realize their dreams of performing, get another chance at fame, and win great prizes.

The Centre on Aging will be holding their 28^th Annual Spring Research Symposium on May 2, 2011. A diverse group of speakers will present on topics such as understanding aging from traditional Chinese medicine, looking at the future of seniors organizations, identifying research that would meet the needs of older Indigenous peoples, discussing the ethical issues raised on how we drug the elderly, and more!
