Villa Aulneau

Description:

The former Oblate Sisters convent, nestled on a beautifully landscaped parcel of 3.5 acres in historic St. Boniface, has been completely remodeled into an independent living residence including a new 5-storey wing and a multitude of common areas including a beautiful chapel, spacious dining room, multi-purpose room, games room and TV lounges, self-serve internet lounge and patio overlooking the gardens.

Independent Living is a the right choice for people who want apartment-style living with full services provided on-site, including meals, laundry, medic-alert housekeeping and 24-hour security.

Year built:

Construction started in 1956 and officially opened in 1958. It was the Motherhouse of the Missionary Oblate Sisters.

Major renovation:

The building was purchased by Despins Charities Inc. from the Missionary Oblate Sisters in 2009 and underwent major renovations to convert the building to a retirement residence. The construction took just under 2 years to complete and Villa Aulneau officially opened April 1, 2011.
